LONG AFTER THEY'RE GONE
Long after they're gone
have we ever asked inside our hearts
about how, why, and when they're gone
and then nothing it left
but regret
have we ever yearned
long after they're gone
looking through the windows
looking at the fields
looking at the forests
they're now just dumb white houses
and their arrogance changes peace into greed
the birds lose their song
the air loses its fresh
the forests lose their green
the sea lose its blue
Long after they're gone
there's only a story
that there was a peace
here...
